Haha I just saw that. With only a few being built I doubt anyone will even remember the Lagonda

I only just today remembered the Lagonda exists.

Is Ford the new early-2000s Hyundai/Kia?

That grill. I like it.

Harkens back to the Continental of 61-64 I do enjoy it

Aston started it with the Mustang V8 Vantage. Ford's just taking its revenge.

It's where they should have gone after the grills they had in the early 2000s. Those were ok, but a bit too staid. Then they went for that retarded split wing eagle thing and just lost the plot.

I still want this though...
2002 Continental Concept - 5 year old me must've thought it looked amazing.

Me too. *sigh. Dammit Lincoln

It would be a fantastic "eff you" to Aston Martin. Ford builds the new Fusion, which has an Aston nose, but you can kinda forgive it because Ford owned Aston and probably paid for that nose design. Now Ford decides that isn't enough and is going to ape their future designs going forward. I love this.

Typical recent grille designs from Lincoln. Way too "busy". Simplify it, please. It only takes away from the rest of the car. Jeez Lincoln, you used to be on top of the market. WTF happened?

This looks super-duper fucked up, perspective-wise.

That extra horizontal line was a mistake to have on the car.
![]() 02/23/2015 at 07:44 |

That horizontal line was a bad move I must say.

The badge also looks off-center and the grille isn't tucking under like it ought to for something wrapping around.

The problem is when they killed the Town car & MK VIII, they didn't replace it with anything, and it still has no replacement. Meanwhile everybody else has a car that's more Lincoln-y than Lincoln. Lincoln needs something like this.

That is an excellent point the Koreans and to some extend the Japanese took what rightfully belong to the Town Car successor.

Sadly, I think the reasoning was similar to why they killed off the Ranger. Why make the Ranger when we can sell everybody an F150? Why sell a new Town Car when we can just sell everybody Lincoln SUV's? The problem is, nobody bought Lincolns SUV's to replace the Town Car.
